What do I mean by this? What I mean is we've given up the high quality lifestyle we used to have to live a more fast-paced, high-octane lifestyle. The last high society this world has seen was the Egyptian empire. They were great surgeons, builders, mathematicians, prophets and teachers. They were also SUPER wealthy, creating multiple different forms of crafts and using huge amounts of gold that are unseen today. It is going around in the science and tech community that even with the stuff we have today we cannot copy the mathematical precision of the ancient pyramids. So there are some things that we could bring back from the old days to leapfrog society into a better quality of living.
First thing: the ancient art of alchemy. It is the study of natures interactions and what these interactions create. We used to make potions of all kinds, supercharge the growth of natural habitats and even TRANSMUTE elements from one kind to another. We've given it up to mix highly volatile, rapidly degrading chemicals that are nowhere close to mimicking the strength of natural materials.
Real Math: Getting back to teaching geometry, which is the base of all math (as proven in the book on the forum), will get students away from overly complicated calculus equations and equations that are PROVEN to be wrong, such as current day phi. Real math uses geometry as a frame and adds numbers and variables creatively to make an equational ENVIRONMENT. We are being taught mathematical theories that haven't been backed by studies and proofs. That includes everything past addition/subtraction/mult/div and algebra.
Real medical practices: The best current day society to study when it comes to this is the Orient. The Chinese and Japanese have the absolute best healers in the world right now, with or without a hospital setting, and they are well versed in medicinal plants and foodstuffs. Chemical medicines, WILL NOT heal a person, they will only interfere with the natural healing process and cause side effects. Massage, acupuncture, energetic healing and minimalist surgeries (as in only surgeries that an be done with a tiny incision) should be the most widely accepted medical practices.
Astrology: Most people don't know whats outside of their hometown let alone the solar system. We used to look deeply at the stars and they taught us things about the way things work. Time, freeform movements, etc. Maybe if we did this a little better the newscasters wouldn't predict the weather wrong so often.
Mind/body exercise: this one is already making a comeback. Yoga is fairly popular, but things like martial arts and meditative movements will make for healthier, more sane people.
Latin: It is a dead language for a reason, because it is a mathematically precise language and it is the base of many of the languages that are spoken today. People who learn Latin become like geniuses, being able to break down all of the roots of the languages that are spoken and even translate foreign languages without having studied them. Of course only a select few people know it.
Those are just a few things, but there's a long list of things that can be revived from the ancient days to help us poor folks along our way. Less ignorance, more knowledge...
