Please notice that these things are made into political movements. They were social movements originally. The negative things that come with political views apply to these movements. For that reason, they have turned into tools for the political-corporate world and have lost a lot of their power in helping people. As far as the organization of non-political groups in this goes, there is a lot of sectioning off of people from the whole of the community. Think of it this way. Large scale movements such as the African-American one have been necessary in the past in order to deal with the atrocities done to certain, sectioned-off groups of people. The feminist movement back in the day even did wonders for women all around the country. They are no longer expected to sit at home, cook, clean, and provide a man with children to continue his lineage. The point that I'm getting at is that we are past the point of having to deal with social problems. Any social problems that arise should consider ALL of the people and not just certain people.
Its easy to tell that these movements aren't necessary. For feminism, women have penetrated the highest levels of the business world and become leaders of society. Now its like they have nothing to do and they are nit-picking at small issues such as the guy that makes a couple thousand dollars more a year, and a large majority of feminist have just turned to man-hating, with or without a good reason. Equal opportunity employment for hispanics and blacks is no longer necessary. They have learned to make a living on their own through the building of family businesses and moving street drugs. All they need is for the system to leave their livelihood alone and stop tearing down their shops and arresting the people for petty drug sales. Its like the people in these groups, and the political offices that deal with their interests are scrambling to pick up on anything to get them ahead of the next person. And that goes against the idea of equality that started these movements in the first place.
It doesn't make sense to make rules benefiting one group and only one group for the sake of equality. The people involved have become like victims... Victims all the time so they can say something was done wrong to them and they can get more food piled on their plate. That's some hypocrisy and blasphemy for you. Once we stop segregated whole societies, most of the problems we deal with will crumble quickly. Even the racist problem, which is the worst societal problem that we're dealing with (from my perspective), is one step away from being demolished. STOP TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN TO FEAR OTHER RACES OF PEOPLE!!! Its simple we all came from the same thing, live under the same god (though we call him different names), and are all inherently equal as a birthright. The sad part about it is that anyone who buys into these schemes holds themselves back in thought and in reality. They are wasting their energy dwelling on something that never had to be a problem in the first place.
