The biggest blockade that people face right now is the economic system and the people who are profiting off of it. Capitalism is set up so that certain people benefit at the downfall of others... If there's $1000 in the system and ten people splitting it, if one person has $500, then 9 people have $500 to split (a little less than $50 each). These are the people using the system to their benefit at this point in time: the bankers, the corporations, the legal system and the political system.
The bankers are the ones creating the money. In other words, they have a monetary free-for-all within their own group of people. They can set interest rates, tax rates and print any amount of money needed for their causes. Unfortunately heir causes aren't catered toward people. They have been funding wars and destructive corporations for many years. Interest and tax that comes out of this system is made to be MANDATORY (if you are legally signed in, which most people are). This is a form of robbery. People should have the choice to keep all of the money they make in their pockets or to give it away at their own discretion. And it doesn't help that they are taking MORE than half of what you earn in a lot of cases. Money use to be back by valuable good such as gold and silver, but that is no longer the case. It is backed by interest and debt. By definition, money in a banking computer system or credit and loan money is less than worthless. Unless you make very good pay, you end up paying back more than what you received in the first place. Yet another form of robbery.
Corporations are also causing a lot of trouble. Good business practice will consider the people who are paying up their hard earned money and will change based on their needs. However, we have to deal with things like high oil and fuel prices, monthly bills for services that should be free, fracking and other things. There's also the fact that these corporations are poisoning our food, water and air AND making us pay for it when it is here on this planet for free. A corporate entity will have the upper hand over a person when dealing with the legal and banking system because of their high revenue. They can and do pay to make changes that will benefit them and only them. Competition within the business world has become so fierce that these smaller businesses which are actually putting out quality goods and services to the people, are being pushed out. And they fuel economies. We need to get back to serving instead of counting profit sheets.
The legal system is probably the most abusive of their "power". They are murdering people constantly, with or without a good reason, throwing people behind bars for victimless crimes. Some people even spend their whole life in prison without killing or stealing anything. These practices have been allowed for a long time now. I even spent two and a half weeks in prison myself without doing anything wrong. It was based off of heresay and lies, and they had to let me out because I wouldn't sign any of their papers or lie to the judge and say that I did anything wrong. Yet they would not give me a not-guilty verdict and put an arrest warrant out for me when I did not show up to the third bullshit court date. This is getting out of hand and it is a joke... Every time a cop runs my name they tell me that my warrant is "non-extraditable" and they'll even give me rides to where I'm going.
Biased decisions based on a persons color, financial status and beliefs are still being made. It is "unacceptable" to be homeless, brown skinned in certain towns, to speak up against the practices of the system and a long list of other things. There are too many things that we CANNOT DO. We are herded like cattle through towns and cities and punished mercilessly when we step a little bit out of line. If you do not fit the description of what a model citizen should be, you will be downcast by your own people even. They are making their decision to do that off of the fear that they themselves will step out of line. The media and word-of-mouth has spread bullshit throughout the society we live in. There is a lot of hope for good things to happen though.
Certain groups such as the hippies and the eco-villages are making moves to give people a more free lifestyle. The system, in fear that they will lose their power, is fighting against that and making laws and prosecuting people. But this movement cannot be stopped. It is all over social media and is being talked about heavily on the streets. And we are not fighting against these people to get our god-given rights as a human being. We are just doing it. When people realize that they do not have to limit themselves and others to live their lives, this movement will be pushed all the way through and we can watch society get back to being abundant and happy.
